Use a Thicker Moisturizer

With so many great skincare products out there, it can be really difficult to choose the perfect ones for your particular needs.

As far as moisturizers go, make sure to use a thick one—or, at least, thicker than your standard lotion—during the frigid winter months. I’ve found that the skin has a harder time staying in tip-top shape when the air is so much colder and drier!

Personally speaking, using a thick moisturizer twice a day has made a tremendous difference in my skin, and I’m never turning back!

Moisturize in the Morning and Before Bed

In my opinion, it’s best to moisturize in the morning and right before bed.

Getting into a habit of moisturizing can be a task at first—it might even feel like a chore—but would you rather take good care of yourself or deal with the difficulties of winter and aging skin? And, anyway, once you do get into the routine, moisturizing will become second nature, and the results will keep you coming back daily!

Understand the Benefits of Collagen

In addition to moisturizers, collagen-boosting creams and sprays are a must-have during the winter; they keep your skin healthy and repair damaged cells.

But what exactly is collagen?

Thankfully, you don’t have to be a scientist to understand collagen’s amazing benefits! Another amazing product that I can’t get enough of during the winter is a gentle cleanser.

Cleansing is a huge part of any solid skincare routine, but it’s important to understand that you shouldn’t cleanse too aggressively around this time of year; cleansing jobs that are too thorough can actually dry out and damage the skin.

As a result, I’ve purchased a gentler cleanser and have reduced the amount of stress I put on my skin, and I look fabulous: smoother, cleaner, and brighter. Keeping up with softer product will pay back in dividends when winter is finally over; you’ll be shocked by the difference!

How I Took Care of My Eye Bags

Stress and aging take a toll on the skin, and especially on the face. Wrinkles can become so deep and noticeable, in fact, that there’s not much a lotion or cream can do; about six months ago, for example, I noticed that the bags under my eyes were getting puffier and puffier, so I decided to put my foot down and opt for surgery. After speaking to a cosmetic surgeon, I went in for a consultation and scheduled an eyelid lift to give my eyes back their brightness.

Not only did the surgery take care of my droopy eyelid skin, but it also did away with my bags, which were making me look far older and more tired than I really am. I feel so confident and beautiful now!

Get the Right Vitamins and Minerals

A good diet can do a lot for the skin, and this goes beyond simply eating cleaner; you should also consume the right amount of minerals and vitamins, particularly Vitamins C, D, E, and K. Zinc, Copper, Magnesium, Calcium, and Potassium are also vital minerals that will improve your skin’s health in no time!

A good exercise routine can do wonders, as well—so do your best to get in shape and stay that way, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how much better you look!
